 If you are purchasing a Lowrance iWay 500C
 then you will DEFINITELY want this antenna.
Although the Lowrance iWay 500c has an internal antenna, Increase the GPS signal reception of your Lowrance iWay 500c in the most demanding environments. This low profile external antenna features a firm grip and a built-in signal amplifier and plenty of of antenna cable.
If you have purchased a Lowrance iWay 500c and are having a difficult time acquiring a GPS signal or your GPS is sticking/freezing or taking a long time to get signal, your unit is not  defective. There may be something that is blocking the GPS signal from getting through.

Vehicles with a coated, tinted or heat reflective windshield will require an external GPS antenna. In addition if you drive in Metropolitan areas with tall building, those buildings will degrade the GPS signal and similarly in the forests, trees degrade the signal. Deep canyons can limit your signal. Snow buildup can also degrade the signal. Just plug in the external antenna!

SPEAK/VOLUME - Repeat the last command. Adjust the music and voice command volumes.

MAP/MUSIC - Change between the mapping display and the music display.

MENU - Press this key to show the menus and gain access to most functions.

FIND - Find fuel, lodging, restaurants, other Points of Interest (POIs), street addresses, waypoints, and recent finds.

POWER/LIGHT - Turns the unit on and off. Pressing it once while the unit is on turns on the screen’s backlight.

This example demonstrates a “Left Turn” visual cue, automatically displayed on-screen by the iWAY™ 500C as it guides you through a predetermined route, turn-by-turn, until your final destination is reached. If a wrong turn is made, the unit will automatically recalculate your route.

After your destination has been entered, every turn is announced visually and audibly. In this example, the iWAY™ 500C shows your vehicle on an expressway ramp leading to a major interstate highway. Your entire route is marked clearly by an easy-to-see, brightly colored path.

This example shows one of the MP3 music screens on the incredibly versatile iWAY™ 500C. A full 10GBytes have been devoted to music functions... providing internal storage for up to 5,000 individual songs, depending on compression rates and song lengths.
